Dog Walking

The Dogfather van is ventilated, temperature monitored and fully equipped with a bespoke 8-crate system, which has front and back entry points in case of an emergency.

All crates have rubber mats, are vet-bedding lined and contain travel water bowls. On board, there are also plenty of blankets, towels, a spray washer, and a full canine first aid kit.

We don’t simply hit the pavements, or pop to the local park. Group walks will cover a range of terrain – woodland, beaches, countryside – matched to our (very variable) weather conditions.

All new dogs will undergo a trial period of at least two walks, to assess suitability and compatibility. Trial walks are charged for.

Your dog will always be walked on-lead, unless:

  • Written consent is given, and

  • I have established consistent, reliable recall.

Before any walks can take place, I will meet you and your dog for an initial free consultation, and to complete the relevant paperwork.

Your dog must be:

  • Fully vaccinated;

  • Well-socialised;

  • Have no history of aggression;

  • Have a collar and an identification tag.

Please note: your dog will not necessarily be returned in the same pristine, groomed condition in which they left! However, paws will be spray-washed (also as a precaution against Alabama foot rot), and they will be towel dried.

On drop-off, they can be fed, and their water topped up.
